We needed to stay 1 night before our flight and this boutique hotel had reasonable price on Booking.com. It is not beachfront however it is walking distance to the beach, historical sites, shops, and restaurants. It is only 10-15 minutes to the airport. We paid $25 for parking. We realized that this is a good deal since the public parking is now $12-$14 per hour in the area. The room is clean yet small. We got spoiled staying 2 weeks in condos. The hotel charge resort fee which is for the pool without a spa. We didn’t use it; however, the best value was the free one hour yoga class that we took on Saturday morning. The staff were nice. I made a request for early checkin and we were able to go to our room 2 hour early. This hotel is good for staying a few days.

The lobby and the pool are very nice and very clean. The morning coffee was a huge benefit!!!! It was so nice to not have to make it myself in my room, or to go off site to buy it. And, it was good coffee with real milk! Our room had a nice view of the sunrise and the town. It was difficult to keep the room dark once the sun came up, as one window was without blinds in order to vent the air conditioner, which is a single unit for each room. The hallways were my least favorite part of this hotel- moldy smelling and dismal. The filtered water that was available in the main floor was very appreciated- would’ve been nice to not have to walk so far to refill. It was walking distance to restaurants and shopping.

We were at this property 10 to 12 yrs ago and had a really questionable stay. When we arrived this time it was amazingly changed …new ownership and a major renovation…this upgrade is the best we have seen in years and we are world travelers. The room anticipated all of our needs…the staff goes over and above on everything….the water station is great and we never heard a door close or the people above or any noise. Our room was chilled to the exact temperature. The refrigerator was efficient and good in space. The morning coffee puts Starbucks to shame. Parking is good and location is prime. We have been coming to Kona for 30

parking was crowded but included and convenient. The entrance is clean and inviting. The pool and garden area was beautiful and relaxing area with the lights and well maintained gardens. The foyer is modern and relaxed setting. The staff was professional and helpful. The 1 bedroom offered comfort, great upgrades, more modern ambiance for an old building, balcony was surprising clean and had a great partial ocean view. Location was a convenient for walking to beach, restaurants, bars, grocery stores, etc.

There is a small food-truck type coffee cart with outdoor seating. The coffee was good and there are breakfast food options (think egg sandwiches), but they could use some fresh pastries, like scones and muffins. The bed was comfortable, the view was a happy surprise, and it was great to come back to an air-conditioned, cool room after walking down the main road for meals. Everything was clean and the staff was friendly.
